Their American based if I'm not mistaken. Introduced by my god father, which randomly happened to pick this album up while he was on a cd-raid=p But anways, awesome band, awesome stuff. Their christian btw.Was started off by the blondie above, but don mess, he can sing! He's got that "Creed/Nickelback" voice. He's got a certain "trademark" when we sings which is incredible - falsetto Just click on the link if you don't get the techincal term. I was just listening to their first album(they've got 3 all in all), and it was just playing track by track repeatedly, and it just clicked, I mean, it was then I realised that they ROCK:D
I don't know about most of you guys, but I find Praise & Worship comforting. It's significant and I suppose it only applys to christianity in terms of worship as worship in other religions differ. I like the way how some songs apply to everyday life and the whole "put yourself in my shoes", "do you feel how I feel?" kinda thing. I like the way how B429 puts gives you different aspects from God watching Jesus, to You waiting for God or crying to Jesus. Though they are considered as a christian rock band, they do have some sentimental stuff here and there which is really touching stuff. At first it seemed so strangely coincidental that I came across this Band because of the current situation I was in with present un/pleasant memories, but it helped alot and I've got to thank god for praise and worship. It's not exactly the kind of thing you would praise god for, but it means alot to me and I'm sure I'm not the only one who find Praise & Worship more than the words, the music itself, the composers, or the musicians.
Another thing I really liked about this band was of how they got their band name - Building 429

You can probably tell by the bolding of words how they came about their band name from a verse. Story behind this verse for me is that whenever I would use "foul language" my mom would ask me to copy this verse out depending on how BAD the word was:x She would also yell at me "Ephesians 4:29!!" too. Haha I couldn't imagine a world without Mothers...
I can't really post their songs on the blog cos' I've lent all my cd's out, well kinda like give=p haha But I'll try post a video off youtube! Will be my first video post:D Am currently listening to this Hillsong - Savior King. Late birthday present that's been waiting for me forever! haha Good stuff too, though it's not as good as previous albums. This goes out to von, you totally nailed "here in my life" now that I've heard the actual song. WOOTS! All the best

Mitch Albom. Haha I keep thinking "Albulm"=p Many thanks to Ronnie:) for passing me "tuesdays with Morrie" & "for one more day" Finished both in a week staying up all night reading before the relentless urge of sleep takes me away. Been ages since I last read properly, think it was just cos' our old libarian left and now we've got this really scary primary teacher, whos actually nice? Seems so stern alwaysX_X Just so happen that I was in the library looking for a book when I say "the 5 people you meet in heaven" looked intresting so just borrowed out (think its overdued:P) and it was fantastic. He's got such a exotic imagination, his use of language and vocabularly is superb. Inspirational stuff, some of the stuff is relateable to myself which is helpful, probably use a few quotes in coming posts. Can't wait for his next book! Meanwhile I shall go look for more books to read! I see a whole lot of new books already on shelfs!
Just so the whole post title would match, I managed to find the actual "More than words" by Frankie J, supposeably the song that ALL guitarists should be able to play/know. I'm not sure but is this where he sings falsetto all the way Gid? is not sure=/
