Yep, it's another album-a Christian one too. Christian music has always been one of my favourite genres of music for many reasons, reasons which I'm too lazy to talk about=p Anyways, heard this album a few weeks ago or so and it made quite an impression on me. The many things I liked about this album were DC's voice, music, and the "hidden" meaning in the songs. I just say "hidden" cos I have trouble finding the meanings=p I find this album special cos its the first album where I have actually learned to like all of the songs.
Every song has a meaning. DC actually writes quite alot about his songs and also explains the entire album at the end of the album in the last two tracks. He also talks about worship in general. I love his imagination and his way of interpreting things. He seems pretty smart;p Looking at the atom he compares worship to it.Like, he says the picture of an atom isn't enough, i.e. that's not what an atom really looks like, but it helps us get the idea. The same thing can be said about worship-- The elements of worship, like music, words, songs, etc isn't what true real worship of God is really truly like, but it helps us carry the idea.

"When our depravity meets His divinity it is a beautiful collision"-DCB
He also talks about the Lark Ascending, and he compares us to the lark, that "as the lark rises, so do we". I think there he's talking about influences in worship and what it is that brings us into worshipping God. Like, sometimes he is the lark, as in he's trying to make us sing and worship God like we really mean it. But he also says he's not sure whether he's the lark because I guess sometimes he doesn't feel like he's worthy of bringing people to worship. Then for him, he says "there are other larks" for him, i.e. for him there are other influences and other things that bring him to worship. At first I thought the meaning of this was bringing souls to God until I had actually listened carefully to the lyrics. Either way I still think there isn't much difference. It all goes back to what he was saying bout the comparison between the atom and worship... It's not as simple as just words and music, but it helps us carry the idea.
Apparently they happened to have released a sort of sequel to this album, "B Collision", haven't heard it yet but here's a sneek peek of it;)-At the end of October this past year, we lost our close friend and pastor Kyle Lake. The day it happened we were in Orlando, Florida. We were on tour with our friends, Robbie Seay and Shane and Shane, in support of our recently released album – A Collision. It was sunny. I was hitting golf balls and admiring the blue sky when the phone rang. It was my wife. "What do you mean electrocuted? Is he ok?" I asked. "I don't know. They'll call with an update. People are working on him." "What do you mean 'working on him'?"
After multiple calls over the thirty minutes that followed, we finally received word that our friend had died.
Our album, A Collision, had been composed as a Christian response to death. We had no idea at the time of its inception that it was soon to become exactly what we needed. Art and grief intermingle in ways that other things cannot. Simple songs burrow deep. They help exhale the sadness and transport relief.
We have been writing a book about mourning and art and their symbiotic relationships, the way each feeds the other. We've been collecting things, assessing our situation, enjoying the fragility of where we sit in this world as humans and documenting it. "Everybody wants to go to heaven but nobody wants to die." – There are truths there that are difficult to discuss in the open air. So we have assembled it in book form for private viewing. It is a tone concerning death and bluegrass music. It is about community, the company of friends, and the necessity of touch, the need for one another. It is about memory and the kingdom of heaven. It is about the soul. It is about grief and triumph.
Death does not win. It is not the end. It is the beginning...-DCB" B Collsion"

I just realised how long it's been since I posted;p School was something different today. Went out to Tasek Lama to show our support for Skin Cancer & the Terry Fox Run. Just in case yu were wondering, he's some dude who had cancer in his leg which he eventually lost(his leg), & then decided to raise money for the further research of cancer by running across the whole of canada for charity. He didn't make it & died 75% of the way.
So left early in the morning with the other year 10's. We went up the new jungle trail and I did about 5 laps. Overall it was not that bad, I enjoyed myself lap after lap, though I almost died within 5 mins of the run where I almost slipped off the top of the hill into the unknownD_D. Slipped countless numbers of times after that but still went on. Saw a spider the size of my hando.O was super freaky!! & monkeys & lizards too. That was about it.Went back to school did some presentation & went home. Now bumming & enjoying my wkend:)
